The Adventure Club books are an illustrated series for young readers by Jess Butterworth. In this book the Tigers have disappeared from a sanctuary because the Monsoon rains did not arrive on time. The Adventure Club steps in and travels to India to search for the tigers. Tilly the organiser is worried as the sanctuary is surrounded by busy roads and cities. The tigers may well be in danger. The book is full of illustrations and Tilly’s diary entries which appeal to readers. It is ideal for early independent readers or for children reading with teachers and parents. At the end of the book there are wildlife activities that readers can attempt at home such as hedgehog highways. Young children, (aged 7+), will enjoy reading about Tilly and the Adventure Club, while learning about animals, exploration and ways they can become involved in looking after wildlife.
