John Francis is an environmentalist who spent 22 years travelling around using no motorised transport. For 17 of these years he walked in silence. On his journeys he learned a great deal about our world, and experienced many acts of kindness. In this book he has collected many examples of kindness, big and small, from different times in our history, from different parts of the world and from those of many faiths and none, in the hope it will inspire others. He tries, he says, to spread kindness by example.
In addition to the contents pages, this book also has a glossary, and index. This would be a good book for KS2, (aged 7-11), PSHE collections, for celebrations such as World Kindness Day as well as being of general interest.
