Books about dangerous animals are usually very popular and I think this one will be no different. Instead of sorting the animals by type or by habitat, this book divides them by what makes them dangerous, e.g. mimicry, venom and poison and speed. Ben Rothery’s amazingly detailed illustrations make this book accessible to pupils from KS1 (aged 7) upwards and are a real visual treat. There is a contents page, and a glossary, but no index which makes this book less useful for specific research. However, for the general reader this is a lovely book, and would be a good addition to a school or classroom library.
