According to many experts, we are in the midst of a new public health crisis, the sleep crisis, a time of widespread poor sleep and chronic exhaustion. This project, a Wellcome Trust funded collaboration between literary and cultural studies scholar Dr Diletta De Cristofaro, psychologists at Northumbria University (Prof Jason Ellis, Dr Pam Alfonso-Miller, and Dr Greg Elder), artist and curator Chiara Dellerba, and The Sleep Charity, sought to support people suffering from sleep issues by combining knowledge-based solutions and creative methods.
Diletta De Cristofaro is Assistant Professor in English Literature at Northumbria University and the PI of the project.
Pam Alfonso-Miller is Senior Research Assistant at Northumbria University and the Clinical Director of Northumbria Sleep Research.
Chiara Dellerba is an artist and curator based in Nottingham.
