Another delightful tale of the ‘Story Shop’ by the hugely funny talent that is Tracey Corderoy. This series feels like a ‘Mr Benn’ for the modern age and this fourth in the series brings us the adventures of Suzy Sloth as she becomes a detective for a day. There are three separate stories, taking our heroine on a trip to a museum, escapades at the seaside and a search for a Demon Duck.
These are short and extremely short stories that will engage the reader and all of which would make a great read in the classroom. Each of this series features a new central character, all of whom have something to learn from entering the shop. On their adventures they are accompanied by the intrepid Fred Ferret, who makes sure that they all keep focused on their adventure. This is a brilliant set of stories for KS1 children, (aged 4-7 years).
