This book is great fun. The glittery cover suggests the delights that are within. At last all the Christmas presents have been delivered so Santa and his team of elves can relax and have their Boxing-night party. The North Pole is full of crackers, including one the size of a bus, presents, sweets, magic dust, dancing and beautiful light shows. The detailed illustrations repay close study and enhance the festive rhyming text from Kes Gray, the award winning author of Oi Frog! I particularly like the picture of Yule constellations, such as The Snowman, The Church Bell and The Hot Buttered Crumpet, and the illustration of the dance-offs, including the reindeer. The book creates a real party atmosphere and is ideal for sharing.
