The fishing works, the Mayor, Danforth Castle, Aurora’s Museum, an Antarctic expedition in the 1930’s, a ship’s log, tentacles and secrets of the deep are all ingredients in this fast moving mystery. At times dramatic, sinister, tense and magical, this is an enjoyable read for children.
