Continuing the series of daring rescues, escapes and general heroism, the Volcano of Doom is a real challenge for Supermouse (aka Peter Parmesan) so he seeks help from the League of Remarkable Rodents: Dare Digger, Inflato Girl and Speed Eater. Mouseopolis is plagued with a spate of robberies carried out by Fingers McMouse and Sally the Sly and once those have been solved it seems like there should be peace, but news arrives that Mount Fondue is about to erupt, flooding the city with melted Swiss cheese. Scattered throughout this amusing tale are really corny (should that be cheesy?) puns that will bring amused groans from adults and children sharing this book. The action flaps and peep-through pages guarantee active participation for little hands and the melted cheese end papers hint at the threat to Mouseopolis. A treat to be shared with 3 year olds upwards.
