A delightful book made from100% recycled board that shows creatures that hatch. We start with chickens and then watch frogspawn hatching into frogs. Next is a caterpillar that becomes a chrysalis and then a butterfly. Then eggs on a beach crack and reveal baby turtles. The design and artwork is excellent with cutaway sections and turning pages that make the book interactive. The final page asks “Which other animals hatch from eggs?” and that encourages reflection and discussion. Perfect for sharing, this is a charming introduction to the natural world for young readers.
