This is a most magical picture book that will have young children wanting a treehouse in their gardens. Carter Higgins and Emily Hughes have shown why treehouses are in children’s dreams and the whole book is full of fun and adventure. Imagine a home in a large tree and awe and wonder will capture the children’s imaginations. This book is a lyrical and magical creation of dreams that children could have in their tree house. It is about seeing something that is not there but allowing the reader to imagine and develop a story around their own imaginary treehouse.
This book urges creativity and is the perfect bedtime story. With its evocative verse it is a book that children will love and I am sure a favourite for adults to read to children too.
