The English Association and the UK Literacy Association will host a day-long meeting on primary and early years education reform. Taking place on 28 October at the National Education Union in London, the meeting will bring together colleagues across primary and early years education to devise a collaborative response to the Government’s Curriculum and Assessment Review call for evidence.
The day will include keynotes from primary education experts (Teresa Cremin, Charlotte Hacking, Uhzama Jabeen, and Dom Wyse), plus active, creative workshops focused closely on the Curriculum and Assessment Review call for evidence.
This event builds on the commitment of both the EA and UKLA to centring teacher voice in conversations about English Studies.
The event is invitation-only. If you would like to contribute to the EA and UKLA collaborative response to the Curriculum and Assessment Review, you can give us your comments by completing this form. This form will enable you to give your comments on the questions from the call for evidence that we’ll focus on during the summit. We will fold your comments into the response. The deadline for completing the form is 27 October 2024.
If you have any questions about the event, or the EA/UKLA collaborative response, please get in touch with Dr Becky Fisher, CEO of the EA, on ceo@englishassociation.ac.uk, or Professor Jo Tregenza, President Elect of the UKLA, on J.Tregenza@sussex.ac.uk.
