Beep Beep! Written and illustrated by Max Low Otter-Barry ISBN 9781913074692 £12.99
A bright, bold picture book that’s full of noises. Beep beep, new-naw, honk honk, toot toot, vroom vroom, and more. Who would have thought we have so many words to describe transport noises? Young readers will enjoy joining in with the sounds and learning to identify the modes of transport. There’s also more alliteration than you’ve probably ever come across such as Train Driver Trudy’s terrific train that trainspotters love, and Zappy Zurgle’s strange spaceship sailing through the stars. So lots of word fun to be had. But beside the fun there’s a message that there are alternative ways to travel that don’t harm the environment, like walking!
